AURORA, Ontario, October 15, 2014 – Magna International Inc. announced that 20 of its manufacturing divisions across six countries have received the General Motors Supplier Quality Excellence Award for demonstrating the highest levels of quality performance over the past 12 months.
This is the third year GM Global Supplier Quality & Development has honored suppliers that made noteworthy contributions to GM. The award is given to specific manufacturing locations which have met or exceeded a stringent set of quality performance criteria and have achieved the cross-functional support of the entire GM organization.
“These suppliers have demonstrated their commitment to quality excellence and their outstanding performance is essential to GM’s efforts to provide its customers with the best products and services in the industry,” said Sheri Hickok, GM executive director Supplier Quality.
GM’s Supplier Quality Excellence Award is focused on improving collaboration with suppliers. Winning suppliers met more than 12 quality criteria during the 12 months ending June 30.
