News Release - Magna Reaches Milestone in Europe
“We are proud to achieve this milestone after manufacturing and delivering innovative seat sets for nearly a decade,” said Carsten Jäkel, Director of Operations for Magna Seating Europe. “This milestone reflects our commitment to meeting the high standards of quality and excellence expected from a premium brand.”
Magna’s Neuburg division has been supplying complete seats for this particular automaker since 2008 and has just started producing for two of their future models. The 6,500 square-meter facility employs approximately 340 people and features just-in-time sequencing and delivery and innovative, IT-integrated assembly lines. At maximum capacity, the facility produces 760 seat sets per day.
“Congratulations to our Neuburg team on producing one million seat sets for our customer,” said Mike Bisson, President of Magna Seating. “Milestones such as this demonstrate Magna’s ability to deliver world-class products to our customers and help them bring innovative seating solutions to the market.”
